Looks more like a fossil to me. Hip joint to something? I can't tell.

Sorry, but it looks like nothing more than a water worn rock to me.

The distinct striations on the protruding part of the rock makes it look like it was shaped by glacial weathering. Glaciers did reach down through Ohio during several Ice Ages. Still a very interesting find!

LOL. Maybe it is not solved? Dang it. It is way out of my realm.

Is it fragile? It looks like it is soft and crumbly like if you dropped it on the floor it would break, if it is I would suggest
that it is not a tool or weapon but a weathered rock.

Well, I will be the first to admit that my imagination gets the best of me.

that thin triangular part is fragile. but the rest appeared very hard. And that knobby part really does look like bone and it is hard. And the stick part is hard. And the bottom/base is hard and looks like wood.

We tossed around all kinds of thoughts.
Like it's part petrified and part stone.
Maybe it was a tool that got stuck in wood.
Maybe something or someone fell on a sharp rock and got wounded then the rock, the bone fragment, and the wood melded together.

IDK that's why I posted it. Needed some level headed impartial eyeballs.

That is why I like Kray's answer. It kind of makes sense.

This area that it was found in was swamp a gazillion years ago.

Who knows? :dontknow: They may just have to take it to some natural scientist to get the answer.

Thanks for the input, everyone.
