Glass detecter!

I don't know if its possible and I know you can use a metal detecter to find old dumps, but what about all the single old bottles that were tossed out of the carrage or left behind by a walking soldier How many of these did our metal detecter pass over silently in the woods near the old trails and roads just because there was no metal near it to make it sing Just a thought!

Dear group;
I know that the Minelab PI detectors can and will sound off on certain types of clear and colored glass, and also on many types of pottery shards. I thas to do with the mineral composition of the glass. My SD2100 especially likes the older clear glass bottles as well as light green and cobalt blue ones, but not the light green Coca-Cola bottles.
