I was at a local gun show and I picked up a folding shovel made by Glock. I was impressed by its light weight 1lb.10 oz., also a rugged polymer handle and how compact it is when folded up. Also it can be carried on your belt. It wasn't cheap at $40.00 so I hope this tool will hold up in the toughest digging conditions and will last a long time. I know Glock makes a decent pistol. I hope their digging tools are proven. Has anyone ever used one of these and could tell me what they think of it. Its definitly not a park digger but it should work great for those backwoods and fields.

Yeah I have one of these. I started out using an army surplus folding shovel. Seen this online and bought it. It works fine. I thought the built in saw would come handy but Ive never used it.

Since it says "Glock" on it, is it banned in New York City and W.D.C ???

Looks like a great tool. The light weight is it's best feature.

Good hunting, John K

Is the main digging blade glass filled polymer or metal?
Does seem spendy.
I have the old entrenching tool now. Have not used it yet.
Thinking beach digs.

The shovel blade is made out of harden steel. When you hold this shovel in your hand you will be amazed how light it is.

I have one too. Used it a few times. It does the job and is light weight and sturdy. I finally got a big shovel when i was digging for Civil War relics. Shovels like that has its uses but not all the time.
