Im headin down to Myrtle Beach, SC on the 18th of Feb. Just wondering if there is anybody in that area, and if there have been any good finds there. thanx

PiratePete, I live in Myrtle Beach.? I hunt the area a lot and welcome people to join me, such as others have from the forum.
What kind of hunting are you wanting to do?
Where are you coming from?

I'm comin from Jersey. Just want to do some beach hunting, thats all...have there been any good finds around there? I'm gonna be stayin at the Ocean Reef Resort-maybe i'll catch u on the beach. I'm staying only until the 23, though. lookin foward to it!

Not to burst any bubbles, but the beach hunting is terrible right now. It won't be good again until tourist season gets going really good and it gets warm enough for people to start laying out and swimming. The beach here gets detected heavily throughout the summer, and you can still find a detector every day through the winter. Like I said, it's hunted hard here. However, I'm definately not saying there aren't any finds out there.
Ocean Reef is on the south end of the beach, which is probably the best area to hunt this time of year. Don't rule out the area of beach behind the Landmark (which is at 15th ave. South). That's a popular hotel throughout the winter.
