Hey Everybody, found a once popular small lake with a swimming beach area. Went there finally and got to do a "trial" short hunt of about 2 hours. Did the beach area first and first few signals were lead sinkers, then got a good signal about a foot from the waters edge. Scooped out about 6 inches of sand and got a ver tarnished 1955 Roosevelt dime. So my hopes were escalated. Hunted the beach awhile longer and got lots of the old ring style pull tabs and a penny or 2. Got in the water and found some more pull tops, then another good signal. I dug and dug and finally scooped out a 1956 Wheatie
Kept hunting awhile and got a few more pennies ranging from 1962-1985. About to leave, told my girlfriend I'm going to make 1 more pass before we leave. Got a good signal, scooped about 2 scoops out before finally the signal was not in the water anymore, looked in my scoop and had a very green 1964 penny and a 14K Gold wedding band
Also got an old marble in one of the scoops after a signal can't rem. which. Anyway I only did about 2% of the swim area, so am planning a return trip soon for an all day hunt and I can't wait
Thanks for looking and happy hunting
Pics below are the trash first then the goods!!
