Found this a couple weeks ago using a G2 which I bought just for finding gold chains in parks and fields. First time out and bang. I did some research and the mfg. Chamilia was granted Disney's permission to make these Mickey Head beads in a limited edition in 2005. Marked Disney and 14k on back the gold ones sold out but the .925 is still available. Web site stated 14k gold with CZ eyes are sold out and no price given. I found one up for auction last month for 450.00 but no takers and stated it cost more than that amount. Seems a little high to me but no expert. I called Chamilia Friday and they said they would respond on cost to me by Monday as they didn't know either. They had a new buyer of company 3 yrs. ago and their info was limited also. Spring has failed on hasp so silver bracelet is good for melt unless hasp can be replaced? It is .925 also. Can't get the beads off the bracelet. They seem to twist off on one end but stop as it gets to the loop. Will ask Mfg. when they call me back on how to remove. Any Mickey fans out there know about these beads. Thanks JR?

Awesome find John. It looks like the G2 is the right detector for chains. I will be curious on how it does this year. I can find silver chains with the etrac but still no gold.

Got the call back from Mfg. and the gold Mickey sold for 480.00. Unfortunately it was a v/m and I didn't get to ask how to remove the beads.

That's a very unusual find - the first I've seen posted on this site .

Awesome, my mom loves Disney stuff!! Sounds like a good amount of $$ if you ask me.

Congratulations!!

Please explain how this is the best for chains, gold or otherwise?:icon_scratch:

Great find John!

Cool find! :icon_thumleft: If you can get a jeweler to carefully repair the clasp, you can probably make a better profit selling the bracelet & mice as a unit, rather than take them apart to sell separately for melt. Best wishes in digging up more gold this winter! Andi

I checked the bay under sold listings.
The highest priced Chamilia item reflected was a retired gold Mickey head/bead with CZ eyes, NWOT. Best Offer was accepted, and the final sale was somewhere between $246-499.

Nice find!
