Gold from one store yesterday, then best silver (ever) from another today

Yesterday I made it out to my "best girl" thrift store and she didn't disappoint lol. Two 14k rings for $65 after tax, one set with a huge amethyst (8.4 g) and the other with rose quartz & rose gold accents (4 g). Then today I hit a charity TS I've had some luck at recently and found my single best silver ever (setting the bar a little high for this year I guess). Snagged this sterling dish while standing next to a fellow reseller who had been pretty aggressively shouldering me out of more cramped areas for a few minutes. Just over 600 grams for 8.99! I was half convinced it was fake because there's no maker's mark and the tarnish seemed a bit off/plate-y but it tests. My other great score for the day was this super-weighty fish bottle opener, taking it to it's new home at the beach shack this weekend

It helps to not have a day job, for sure, but what works best for me is to not spread myself too thin. I focus on the stores that reliably produce and since I stop in 1-2 times a week I can usually be in & out of any given store in less than 30 minutes. I also stick to stores I don't have to go out of my way for, used to spend some days driving a big loop around town if I had the time but now it's an hour or two of thrifting every couple of days including driving time. That way it's no big loss if I don't find anything, but I usually do.
