Gold Hammered Coin???

I found this about a week ago at an old, probably 1800's home. I thought it was trash at first, but I have learned not to throw anything way until you have looked at it closer. It hit in the gold range on my AT PRO, it looks like Gold. Has some kind of writing on it, maybe Greek? Can anyone identify this, or have any idea what I may have. Thanks, EE
