Metal Detecting
Hit a beach today with my dog, warm enough that he could go swimming [bet the water was coold though].

Was finding mostly pulltabs and pocket change as usual, saw an old friend of mine sunning himself in the distance so I headed that way.
Was swinging pot luck, wasn't following any track, wasn't overlapping my swings. Got a signal bouncing around in the 60's, usually mean pulltab but this time it was gold.

Marked 18k, stones likely legit [haven't tested it yet]
Really small, either a childs ring or a lady with some dainty fingers [not small enough to be a toe ring]

what detector did you use?

Almost always use the 400 on dry sand

Now that's a keeper!

Nice random swing and catch!

Congratulations on the gold ring, nice job!

Bout time you snagged a good one. Congrats and hope more come your way soon

Nice score on the 18K. You got a Bi Centennial quarter too! WOO HOO!:headbang:

Sweet ticket - Congratulations on the GOLD! :headbang:

Congratulations. Great find. My Michigan beach is done for the season. They have already begun winterizing it!

Curious, how do they winterize a beach, and how does that stop detecting ?

Great ring! That always nice to see the gleam of gold!
