Just wanted to let the forum in on my luck last night. Went out for a few hours after work to Fortlauderdale beach for the evening hunt.
Hit the water at low tide and came up with a pair of glasses, a nickel, and the random corona top. After about an hour the tide was coming in again and the waves had picked up so i decided to hit the wet sand till dark.
Got some clad, bottle caps and BOOM.....there was gold in the scoop.....Yes finally......nice little 18k wedding band sitting in 3in of sand. Looked around the area a bit but no other hits so i keeped working the beach and recovered more clad. My meter expired at 9pm so i headed in and called it a night!
There is gold out there.....just gotta keep looking (that's what i told my self). The Excal II is working out nice for me!!
