Gold in the sesquahanna river?

I know if I had, I sure wouldn't post the fact on the internet.. ???

I've heard rumors but , I don't remember anyone
claiming First hand success.

Heard a story quit a few years ago about some kids finding buried pirate treasure on one of the islands north of Harrisburg. Never found out any facts about it.

Only one I heard of was a chest found on an Island South of Danville
by some Men digging leeks or something ?
& was supposedly filled with strange coins they never saw before

But same here, No idea where the story originated

This post is getting a little old but I know of people finding gold in the river, its flour gold they call it. There was a man who had a small floating suction system and he was finding flour gold. Lots ofhard work, but yes there is gold in the river

Here is something puzzling gold buyer says it's not real .finding near mountain in pa.is this mica?

Mica is brittle and breaks apart very easily, gold is soft and will dent easily. It's hard to tell if that is mica by the pic.

best way to tell, lay it on a hard flat surface & hit it with a Hammer.
If it flattens but stays together like soft metal would, it's Gold.

If it shatters & turns to Dust or flakes, It's not
