Found this in the woods along side an old stone wall. It is about the size of a quarter and has a blue stone in the center. There are no markings on it that I can see but appears to be gold or gold plated. On the back in the center there is a small spring.
Any ideas?? Thanks....

No idea but why not take a big bite and see if it is gold! nice find!

I think it's a part that came from a costume broach. It would have attached to the broach by the spring being pushed onto a keeper shaft mounted onto the broach or whatever.

My guess would be the decorative end of a ladies hatpin.
