I search for cheap gold on the app OfferUp regularly. I've had some pretty good scores. I've gotten a little better at recognizing if something is gold or not through pictures. Last night I met a lady I've bought from before to buy some rings. She wanted $250 6 rings, a RN charm, and a rope bracelet. I offered her $180. This is without knowing the weight of the jewelry. She said she had 2 additional rings that she will include for the full $250 price. I took a gamble and said yes. The 10k weighed 15g and the 14k weighed 6g. Rings are a slow seller for me on eBay, so I called a buddy and sold them to him for $400. He liked the Victorian garnet and Jade ring and said 10k sells very high in Mexico and he grabbing all he can for a trip there( where he's from).

Great flip. I'll have to check it out.

You can find good deals there, but everyone and their brother seems to think their stuff is worth 10X market value. Lots of fake stuff too.

just gotta be picky and choosy. And most are in need of money so offer what you are willing to spend. I have found that most will take the offers......
