Out for a water hunt with the excal of course. Lots of clad lately and a gold over 925 earring. Beats copper underneath.
I've really become a firm believer in the Pinpoint/discrimination modification.

Found one just like it last week silver base, nice. How does your excal compare to your BHID as far as depth. My BHID will go down 12" in all metal on a quarter in moist salty sand. I hear that reverse mod works well, thinking of picking up an excal to bunk with my CZ-20 and BHID.

Don't recall the BH I'd 300's depth but did own one. My opinion is the excal 1000 blue is the machine to have. Had PI's, BH ID 300 and many others and the excal 1000 blue is the way to go. PP mod makes all the difference out there for sure
