My daughter in law found this gold pin at a college university in side the building. I think it might be a sorority pin? Any ideas by the three letters what one it might be? I believe that the letters are MHA
I had to check and old english letter chart to figure out the middle letter. It is a nice little chunk of gold with red stones, maybe pearls, and probably black onyx on the front.
So what do you guys think?

Mike

Hello Mike, sorry for the delay, but every time I tried to post, TNet would crash.

It's a college pin, and I think it's for the MBA club(or the likes) at Mich. State. University because "if" it is a "National" Greek Sorority or Fraternity pin, it will have the person's initials and chapter on the back. The Greek letters look like Mu Beta Alpha, but there is not a National sorority or fraternity by that name, which means it could be a club pin or it could be a non-national sorority/fraternity pin.
Since there is no national Greek sorority/fraternity by that name, the "M" probably stands for Michigan and the "A" for association, like the MBA for example.

All sorority/fraternity/college club pins are generally 10K with real pearls, onxy, and other stones (yours looks like Garnets.) They cost a chunk of change, so I'm sure the person would love to have it back, not to mention the sentimental value. You shouldn't have a problem returning this pin, if you opt to do so.

What is the name of the University where it was found? Below is a pic of my Sorority Pin (Sigma Sigma Sigma) from College, and my daughter's Sorority Pin. She was a legacy, and was in the same sorority, although we went to different colleges. Note the backs.
