Gold plated dime?

Yeah...never found one of these before, but i'm pretty sure it's gold plated. Found it at the football field this morning (along with some clad)



any thoughts?

Yep, gold-plated. Not a true mint error coin. Not worth anymore than face value.

I beg to differ! I have a gold plating system, and have done hundreds of
car emblems, sink fixtures, all kinds of stuff. I have also gold plated dimes
and quarters, and sell them for a buck apeice as golf ball, green markers.
So... they can be worth more than face value.

Hey there's Gold in them thare Dimes. LOL

I've found some like that, but they were in some dirty lake around me. Guess your's really are gold plated. I agree with slabman, I've seen some used as markers at the golf course.
