Your locket is known as a secret memory locket. The center portion slides out to hide a photo, hair, flower pedals, or any type of memento. Is the scene on the front engraved? The scene looks like Santorini, Greece. Super neat find :thumbsup: Breezie

Could also be a Hidden Coin Necklace, could have hid two coins, in the recese of the bezel, popular during georgian times.

That building looks like an observatory.
I see no cross on the building to indicate a church.
