This is my best find SANY0615.webpsteeeee   posy 184.webpsteeeee   posy 185.webp Post-Medieval date (AD 1500-1700). + VIVE VT VIVAS x *. The inscription translated literally to "live that you may live" and is given to confer the sentiment: "live life to the fullest".It was found in march on land that had been detected that much i only got three signals all day.

Such a dream find! Does your Country have any legal rights over you and the land owner? Was it in a farm field?
 

Yes terry it as been classed as treasure [ all finders of gold and silver objects, and groups of coins from the same finds, over 300 years old, have a legal obligation to report such items under the Treasure Act 1996] and York museum would like it. now it gets valued and me and the farmer split the money 50/50..I did get it valued before handing it over to the British museum it was valued at 2k..

I'd have a real hard time giving it up to the Govt.
