Found a 14k gold and diamond ring at my favorite watering hole. It was laying on the floor next to a bar stool along with a few pennies. Looked like an $80-100 ring to me, so I returned it to the bartender in case the owner sobers up and comes looking for it. Do you think this is good for some positive MD'ing Karma?

Cute Papi!

Actually my dog is a long-haired Chihuahua...but we get Papillion a lot.

He's my TH'ing good luck charm. Now if I can just him to stop barking at other dogs in the park...

:)

You should have taken the ring with you and left your business card with the bartender. The claimant could call you and describe the ring to you. If not, its yours.

Good point RingDing,

We can only account for our own honesty, and not that of others. Who knows, the bartender (who was a woman) may be wearing the ring now!

You definitely did the right thing.
Whatever the bartender does with it now
is his issue to deal with in the bitter end.
Hopefully, it will get back to the owner.
At least your mind is clear
and you will be repaid by the MDing gods.

Very nice story, thanks for sharing it!

Best of luck to you Secondcup.

Smiles!

I personally would of left info and and a number so you could speak to the owner directly. Only then would you know that the ring was officially returned.

My 2 cents.
