?gold ring gold plated gold

Went to a new to me park today and 2 min in by a tree I found this ? Gold ring it has two markings on inside that I can't seem to get my camera focused on they say 14kt ge ESP and then 18kt ho espi the ring is badly tarnished on the outside but there are spots that look defiantly gold it rings up 68-72 on my at gold but I have no gold tester any ideas

Not gold put plated. The GE stands for gold electroplated. Still goes towards the ring count! HH!

Why would there be two marks on it it has no stone?
