Crabs, total congrats on the Connecticut copper...wow bud, it's in excellent shape! I would drool myself into total dehydration digging something like that! And nice score on the silver GW...that's an equivalent of 5 silver dimes or so...nice score...Ddf

Going out on a limb since nobody commented on the button. I'll let one of our experts correct me if I'm wrong but that button could be a Nipple Button?
Congrats on the Connecticut Copper.

Congrats on the finds.

Good Day man ...... Ct. copper is a "snipe nose ".

From Coin facts Variety 33.28 is easily distinguished by a major die break from near the rim going just above the second N in CONNEC moving across the bust and through the O in AUCTORI to the rim.

It is especially prominent at the nose area, thus giving the name to this variety "the snipe nose."

Nice stuff !

That's a gorgeous copper with a fantastic patina, but wish you had not used olive oil or whatever else to preserve it due to the excessive and permanent darkening that resulted. I know you probably don't have access to Blue Ribbon Coin Cleaner since that product went off the market 20+ years ago, but instead I would suggest trying Renaissance Wax on any other coppers you find which will prevent oxidation and not alter the original patina. Not criticizing - just wanted to pass on my experiences by trying to provide other safe options.

no worries, the 3rd pic was taken in darker lighting to show more details, it looks now just like the first pics
