There has never been a recall on the Scorpion...at least in the last 20 years. I had one and used it for 3-4 years as my main detector. I found record numbers of rings both gold and silver on land. In true all metal mode it gets pretty good depth for relic hunting. Pinpointing off the toe is so easy and accurate. One must learn to set it up properly, under the right mode for your type of hunting and you should do very well. What areas are you having problems with?
