Last year was the worst Hong Kong Typhoon in recorded history. It dug up lots of old coins and rings. This one is 14.98 grams! :) 20190319_191123.webp

I would say you are correct, that's a 24K Gold ring! Congrats! Didn't realize they would make rings out of 24K.

Yes, it is too soft. And very badly beaten up. Also way too heavey to wear. :O

SD51 It is really quite common in Asian/Indian cultures Actually an alloyed ring would be an oddity. What I was told when I was over in India was that they view things that are not pure as defiled or not sacred so alloying gold makes it impure. They are a big fan of Flawless diamonds and crystals as well. What a great find here. Wish some of that would wash up on the left coast here

Funny a guy tried to call me out and said "they dont make 24K - too soft" - then he found one in 2018 :tongue3:
I have found 5 - 22K ones also
