I detected this 2 x 1/2 inch 255 gram metal slug last week with my BH 202, it was a bouncy signal that ranged from bottlecap to 10c and was about 3 inches deep. Airtesting it reads 10c and in places it appears gold colored. It has iron oxide on part of one side. I filed a notch and it was white metal where I filed it. both sides have markings from being cut on a bandsaw. I tested it with a 100 lb magnet, and it is non-magnetic. Today I acid tested it, silver remained clear, platinum turned dark, 10k stayed clear, 14k stayed clear, 18k stayed clear, 22k darkened. Could this really be gold? I am
wondering if someone melted down a bunch of jewelry and poured it into a 2" pipe, the bandsawed sections out. Anybody have any ideas?
