Posts like this make me celebrate every time I dig a pull tab! I love playing in the trash! Now, I just need to find some gold.... and a pound or two of trash. Good luck out there and happy hunting.

Hey, Racso.....good point, my friend -- getting ready to go to one of the oldest beaches in FLORIDA in a few days & I dig EVERYTHING and it is wise to dig larger "iron" targets that can be very, very OLD that masks deep gold targets - Maybe you already do this but a lot of very small gold bands both 10K & 14K and above read only 10-12-14 & 18 VDI on my MX-5 that reads 81-83 for clad quarters, 84-85 for silver quarters and 74-76 for 90% copper cents & 76-77 for clad dimes & 78-79 for silver dimes and very accurate at very good depths --- but with that said it is ALWAYS best to dig everything on good old beach's like we have in FLORIDA - THANKS & Good Luck.....BILLThe more trash you dig in the gold range the better your chances. It’s somewhat easier at the beach since the waves/surf sometimes classifieds them by weight. I say sometimes because there’s been times where I’m digging quarters, nickels and pennies within inches from each other and you can tell they aren’t fresh drops. Good luck
