Golden surprise

I got out for a few hours to hit the beach during low tide but conditions were horrible and was only finding light targets. I made my way to a spot where I found some old coins and a gold ring last year. I wasn’t expecting too much since this spot has been hit hard by many people. My 3rd target was this unmarked gold ring with a blue diamond (tested good). My first gold ring for the year but hopefully not my last. This spot is loaded with iron so after two hours I called it quits. My last good target was a 1953 wheat cent. The chain and pendant had me going for about 2 seconds but I figured it wasn’t real and unfortunately I was right It was a beautiful sunny day (60 degrees) in SoCal and the finds made it that much better. I spent a year in Illinois and I can tell you I sure don’t miss that weather. You should take a detecting vacation in SoCal when there’s a little less Corona going around. I hope you’re doing good and been able to get out there for some hunting. Good luck my friend.
