Good Day Today. 13 Silver and 2 Gold

Went to one of the old parks I visit today and had some underwater fun. A good day to be in the water for sure. Some pretty old finds. A 10K 1928 class ring and a mans 10K ring with maybe a real emerald, maybe glass. Not sure because it is not scratched or chipped. Usually they are hammered if glass or fake.

Oddball find is a 1926 German 2 Reich Marks. Canadian dime 1919 which is sterling silver and a Canadian 1932 penny. Oldest coin was a 1910 wheat. A very nice shape 1926 SLQ also.

Two silver rings, the SLQ, 2 Washingtons, the German coin, 3 mercs 2 roseys and the Canadian dime and a personalized religious medallion were my silver finds. The only newer coin I found today was a 1963 penny.

Found some interesting trash but it is still in the truck.















Got my new camera today. Will play with it and take some better pictures now. Enjoy.

That is awesome I just got a scoop and waders I want to try an old swimming hole on the huron river here in
ann arbor I see a lot of people fly fishing with waders I'm a little nervous but I think it will be fun I have found some good stuff where the beach used to be 2 rings a 41 half a 52 half ect. Thanks for the inspiration..Great finds

Great hunt. Have to love the mystery behind the German coin. Between wars. That one can keep you thinking for a while. Maybe an immigrant that got out between wars. Nice finds all around. Thank you for sharing.

LOL me clean rings Not in my vocabulary. Unless it is a special ring they all just go in my scrap silver or gold bins. Along with silver coins. I will clean the German coin though because I never found one before.

Dirt fishing? My E-trac is retired till the water gets too cold to dive in. I am a bit spoiled though and I admit it. This hunt was a good one but I wouldn't say great. When I can pull 6 gold out of a spot in one day which I have done very many times they get to be great.


Thanks for the comments. I am going to hit that old beach a lot this year. It never gets used anymore.

Back-of-the-boat is dead on. Be very careful wearing waders in a river detecting. As I posted in another of your threads, I would have invested in a wet suit. Water is VERY unforgiving of mistakes and NO amount of silver or gold is worth your life. I have been in the Huron and it is a nice slower river. Just be careful. Good luck

LOL not a pond. A bit bigger than that. Actually a LOT bigger. I will spill the details one day. Right now because of lurkers I am very hesitant to say. If you really would like to know send me a PM.

Great hunt. Silver, gold and old medals.
I've been killing the medals myself this year. I'm building quite a collection. But you know how it is; things come in waves.
In your case, they're literally under the actual waves.
