I Hit the beach at 2:45 am,low tide. I worked the wet sand for three hours, with normal coin/pulltab finds.I spent the last hour in knee deep water, and could tell by the way the CZ21 was getting "sluggish" the batteries were getting low.The next mid tone signal was a mans 14k band(God I love to see gold in the scoop!),when I rechecked the hole I was still getting a very faint signal in pinpoint, and the machine was acting erratic .I dug about three more scoops, and hit battery check on the CZ.The batteries were done. I kept scooping in that spot, without the CZ but found nothing. Was it more gold,a coin,a bobbypin? looks like I may never know. Happy hunting.
