Hello

One of my Northern Michigan neighbors winters in Florida in the St Augustine/Daytona area. He was asking what is a good beach/shallow water intermediate detector. I think he is looking in the $500-800 dollar range. I don't really hunt salt water so I am not sure what the best choice would be for him.

Any opinions out there?

Thanks,

Pete

Used Sov would be my recommendation. But ........ most of us know aint no such thing as one detector.

Used Sovereign, used Excalibur are my first choices. A used whites Beach Hunter ID 300 is also a good choice for the wet sand. Any multi frequency machine for that matter would serve him right. I'm just partial to the Minelab as they are what I use now. As long as he's not planning on going in the water. If he does then I would just go for the Excalibur or a fisher CZ21. GL Mike

CZ21 or an Excal...he can get a nice used one on E BAY in his price range.
