Well picked these out today along with another 1866 nickel. Check out the nickel tell me what you think. You can see the dates in the front of the coin along with words. It was the only coin in the hole. Also check out the back of the 5. It's a weird one.

Uhh That could be a error coin I dont have my red book as i gave it away and havent gotten a new one. Dont clean it! look closley at the rest of the lettering and the stars, see if it was turned and stamped twice. Look at the other 5 and see if its imprinted. if thats a error Im thinking you got a good one. heres a good sight to get a answer. also post it in whatsit, please keep us informened.

Nice Shield nickel....looks like a double strike....definitely a keeper!
