I broke my v3i a few months ago, which was sad given the fact that I was finally getting used to the machine and making some good finds with it. The plastic ears on the coil snapped off and I was told that my only option was to buy another new coil ($250!!) I contacted White's and they graciously sent me a replacement coil free of charge and it actually arrived here in Central NY in 2 days! They have the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with, and reasons like this is why I continue to buy White's products.
Anyways....
I hit a foundation for the 3rd time. First with the XLT, then XLT with a smaller coil, and today the V3i. I was anxious to see if I could pick up anything my other machine had missed. Sure enough, I managed to dig two suspender buckles, each about 10-15 feet from the cellar. One says PAT MAR 7 71 . Nov 3 74 and still has the swivel-part intact. The other says PAT 1874 (I think...)
Always nice finding these!
PS the site pictures are from about a month ago!
