Was down at the local pawn shop today and they have a radio shack 63-3012 for $79.00 can any one tell me what this is close to in a bounty hunter or any other info thanks?

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I've been away from the Forum for a while and just got back on a couple days ago.

63-3012 is the Radio Shack SKU for a Discovery 3000 metal detector, which is basically a BH "http://www.detecting.com/product_images/378c73459a2911d4_2.jpg" LandStar or
"http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ZZ5W86EPL._AA280_.jpg" SharpShooter II.

I had a Discovery 3000, but gave it to my Dad for Christmas a few years back. He's found hundreds of dollars in change and a lot of jewelry with it, and he won't even dig anything more than 3" deep!!! He's retired and says that's "too much like working"......... hahaha

The price isn't bad but don't EVER pay the marked price at a Pawn Shop. Offer them about 20% less and wave the cash in front of them!

Is the RS 3000 anything like the BH 3300?

Bounty Hunter (Teknetics) made detectors for Radio Shack. The 3000 was apparently replaced by the
http://www.e-webtrade.com/product/md/multi/discov3300/discov3300-pan-large.jpg 3300, but they aren't the same. I haven't seen a 3000 that's not quite a few years old. But the 3300 is virtually the same as a http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31lavoctlgL._AA280_.jpg Titan 3000XD I believe.
