Got another two boxes today

and did not do too bad at all. As a lot of folks do after I got them out to my vehicle I opened the boxes to see if I could see anything peeking out of the ends. First box, nada, even after turning over each of the top rolls. Second box, opened and saw one without having to turn any over, so I knew I would not get skunked. Got home this evening and the first box, big time skunk! Second box, 1 walker, 7 benjamins, 2 64 kennedys, 19 40% kennedys and 4 1974D DDO. Been quite a while since I have gotten 10 90% coins. Especially surprised since I got skunked on the first box. Just wish I could do as well with the dirt fishing. HCRH all!

Whats a 74D-DDO?

It is a 1974D double die obverse. The letters RUS in the word TRUST are doubled. It is similar to the famous 1955 double die penny, just not quite that extreme. It is not really an error, more of a die variety. It was worth about 150.00 in MS63, but has gone down to 50.00, I guess because it seems there are more of them out there than they thought. Go to the past posts, look for Dec 15th, Jeffro posted a pic of one under the heading First 1974D double die for me.
