Got email allowing MD in park: 39 coin day! UPDATED POSTING.

I've checked all the local ordinances and emailed the park service here in Athens, GA. Got a permission email back. Yeah! Only had 2 hours of daylight so thought I'd stay close to home.

Went to a modernized park and hit the tiny tot's bark area. Was vastly upgraded 3 years ago. Found 39 modern coins. . Looks like a mid 1970's group and a 2006 group. Found a 9mm Luger shell with the 1970's coins .

BTW, always check sand boxes. I was thinking maybe parents lose rings while digging with Junior, but found 3 quarters instead. Area was only 15 ft X 15 ft. I'll take it.

Total for the day 7 Q, 5 D, 2 N, 25 P, plus a pen and beach towel.

I went back to the park again since it was raining off and on and I wasn't' detecting really seriously.

Lowered the Disc to see what I had missed. Found my FIRST token . OK, it is only a modern Namaco Arcade token, but it is still a first.

Also found my first ear ring (costume). I had also missed 4 nickels and a few pennies. The other clad and the hotwheels car comes from new areas. I also found the another half of those sunglasses.

Total 2 Q, 1 D, 4 N, 7 P.
