Made a deal with my dad - We would fill 2 large cups with coins and when we did, I could get my new 250. Well we filled them up, and it equaled 165.00 not enough. But for easter my Mom said go get it... We went this morning and got it.

Spent the whole morning out detecting.. My dad helped me get used to it.. its hard I am still learning, and he is used to his machine.

Found a junk earring, couple dollars in clad, and toy airplane..

Awesome!!!! I love my Ace 250. Keep it up!

Totally off the hook. ;D Look forward to seeing your finds. I really enjoy my ace 250, once you get your technique down you will have a great time.

congrats on the 250. I love mine and have found many neat and interesting finds with it. See if you and your dad can research some older areas like parks and houses and see if you can find any of the old coins. Those are my faves!

Good luck and congrats on your first finds.

When mine does that I find trash scattered in that area.

It's not defective... that just means that the sensitivity setting is set too high. Found that out from this informational video that Kas posted for me on the 150.

Should still be the same I'd imagine.

agreed turn down the sesitivity a notch or two (OR THREE) that should stabalize it.

congrats on your new ace and you saving up for it! Keep hunting and keep posting those neat finds

We'll learn together, just got mine too. You better not make me look dumb!!LOL, good luck and dig 'em all. Bongo

Congratulations on buying the ACE 250. I think it was really special that your mom and dad, thought a lot of you and let you buy this great little detector. That in my book is a Special Mom and Dad!!!

I know you will find lots of neat stuff with this detector. I have used mine for over a year now and if you look at some of my past posts, you will see some of my finds and my partners finds. We both use the ACE 250, with a SunRay Probe. We also use a good headset, one that you can adjust the sound for each ear.

For those who are having trouble with the ID jumping around, set your sensitivity down. I usually run mine around 4 notches. I go higher if I can get away with it. Don't be afraid to dig some of those iffy signals that show up in the coin area.

If when you swing your detector one way and get a sound and then swing back the other way and the sound is gone, it usually means you just went over some iron or maybe a hot rock.

Good Luck to everyone who just got their ACE 250's. We can't wait to see what you find this year.

HH all and remember, keep the coil to the soil. Ringfinder

So far I went in my back yard and found a broach and everything else has been mostly junk but I am definetly not disapointed , it is a great machine to learn with and break into this hobby .
It is pretty simple to learn , you just have to listen and be patient it will come together.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE ACE ;D

I got a chuckle when I scrolled down the page and read everyone's detectors used.
