Looks like you did good to me. Best advice is use a beach mode, and since it's new don't do any "tweaks" to it. After awhile, then you can experiment with it.

Looks like to me, you had a great hunt...congratulations! :occasion14:

Congrats on the finds with the new machine.

You did better than my friday a.m beach hunt on the west coast all i got was a small silver ring and $1.41 in change.

Good job its always fun using new equipment, keep at it and learn that machine like you know yourself....

You will know more, and get more confident with every hole you dig. I felt the same way the first 5 times I turned the Equinox on- now I can tell you what year the pennies are, and what brand the beer tabs were. (I’m kidding obviously- but you get the point.) It’s a great machine. Get a good air and ground balance when you start, and every now and then while detecting. Take advantage of the factory settings- they are there for a reason! Congratulations, and Happy Hunting!

You did very well! As with everything new it takes time to learn. As others have said use the default settings and learn the tones. Congrats on your finds! :icon_thumleft:

I love my Equinox! my first target was a IHP! wait till you hear a half dollar, it really screams!:headbang:

Looks like you had a pretty good outing. I have the 800, and still use preset settings. I have already found rings, and many silvers with it including Walking Liberty Half dollars. Right now, I just don't see the need to "tweek" the detector, and I've had it for 6 months. Maybe I'll mess with the settings next year, as we are getting frozen ground here now.

2 pieces of silver? Thats good in my book :icon_thumright:
