Got my first '74 DDO half!

title says it all!



The bad news is that it's in at best G-4 condition. The other bad news is that I can't find my camera battery charger, and my battery's dead, so no pics at this time.

Can anyone ballpark the value, if any?

Additional Info: Look for the Double Die Obverse 1974 Kennedy Half Dollar error. The Double Die Strike is on the front of the coin, look for a strange edge near the words We Trust. The Double Dies are worth around $60 each.

I've found about 20 in the last 2 years. I sold most on eBay for $4.50 - $20, depending on condition. I saved 3 cool JFK clads: 1 74d ddo in ms62-63, 1 82 no p in au58, & 1 72 ddo in au55-58. The 72 is tough to find - only found one. I've found ~ 10 82 no Ps. They usu sell for a little more than 74d ddos.

Cool find! The first is the most fun.

Cointrackers is a crappy website for finding coin values.


eBay shows about $4 - $220 (that one being PCGS graded MS65) with an average being about $20-$50.
