Nope not a coin but this is a unique find for my area, as there was as far as i know no fraternity here.I was able to find the identical one, after many hours of sifting through different pic of this medal..Around the edge in Latin it reads "ecce panis angelorum" which translate to "behold the bread for angels" Its isnt the whole thing but Iam glad I got the best part!! Its a metal that was given to a fraternity called " Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes" .. Antediluvian means before the biblical flood https://en.wikipedia.org/…/Royal_Antediluvian_Order_of_Buff…
Top pic is an exact one in pristine condition, bottom one is in my collection. To me its a rarity to find, very glad I dug it!

Interesting find. Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble belonged to an ancient fraternity called the Water Buffalos. Seriously though, cool recovery with very interesting story. Congrats

Cool!!! Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Interesting. Never seen one of those before. Good going!

Nice work Hunter, cool post!

I can't help wonder how they greeted each other? Snort and stamp twice, LOL!

Folks I made a major error in this post,I put in the wrong latin translation.I have another relic that I was researching and by error put it in the wrong post!! .Here is the correct translation "The Order's motto is "No Man Is At All Times Wise" (Latin: Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit" Sorry for the mistake !!!!

That's a different & pretty cool medal, congratulations
