Well I hit the midden this morning,found two brokes.They will go into my study case.The smaller one has a killer edge on it,& the other is pretty well made.

It's a shame they are broken, that little one looks like it had a hole in the middle or something? I don't know.

That is fire damaged.Left in the meat or just tossed too close to the earthen oven.I am not sure why,but when flint is heated too much.It tends to explode.JMO....thanx...Geo ;D
 
nice pieces!. stone blows apart cause the moisture gets in cracks we cant see.
 
good finds, nice material, the smaller piece looks like a broken blade that's been reworked into a spokeshave / engraver multitool.
 
Is it possible they are from the same piece? The coloration looks similar on the one side.
 
Looks like a Darl variation, Woodland 2500-1000 BP
 
Here are three more from that site...Mayhaps it looked like these before the fire..
