Gotta' ? for you Relic gurus.

Yesterday I found a lead ball. It looks good still. I don't know if it's new or old.

The lead ball has small patchwork indents on it, from the cloth patch.

Will an old lead ball be white, like the bullets I've seen?

This ball is pretty clean looking lead.

Kas, I Have Found Them White, Black, Brown And Gray, It All Depends On The Soil Conditions Where You Dig Them. I Don't Know About Very Dry Areas Of The Country Like In The Desert. Here In The South East They Will Always Have Some Kind Of Patina On Them. Hope This Is Helpful. trk5capt...
