GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Digging in his back yard, a Grand Rapids man has unearthed old metal toys – cars, trucks, an airplane and a World War I tank – and other relics, including an antiquated telephone.

There is even an old, rusted long gun.

“We haven’t got to the bottom of it yet – there’s still stuff in it,” the 30-year-old man told MLive/The Grand Rapids Press.

The treasure hunt started when he happened across an old metal detector that had been in his family for years. He had used it when he was a boy. When he took it out back, his wife laughed. Undeterred, he got hits right away and started digging. He found a lid and lifted it, revealing the buried artifacts.......

Thank you for sharing! :occasion14:

It's an old cistern someone had used as a dump site. Cool finds. I've always wanted to dig the one out at my moms old house.
