Grandson Thinks I'm a Pirate
Funny story.
Yesterday, I picked up my son-in-law, and my grandson, Tristan (4 y/o), and we went for a cruise into the big towns. I need some stuff at Home Depot and Harbor Freight, so I asked them to tag along and I would buy them lunch. We had a great time in HF (who doesnt?), stopped for some chicken mcnuggets, and headed home.
When we got there, son was going to get me some hydraulic oil for my tractor, so he ducked into the barn. I started to unbuckle Tristan from his booster seat, and his feet were resting on my Stealth 790i, and he asked me, "Hey Opa, what is this thing anyway?" He tapped his feet on the scoop. I replied, "Well, that's what I use to scoop up my treasure with."
He narrowed his deep blue eyes, and fixed upon me with a serious look and said in a low whisper, "Opa, are you a pirate?"
I was rather stunned and flattered at the same time, and I said that I was kind of a pirate. "We'll take the boat out and play pirates when the water warms up a bit more."
Nothing more was said, but a few hours later my daughter did some facetime with me, and Tristan was all excited about being a pirate with his Opa!
I love being a grandfather!
