I’m back east coast killing it! island life is treating me right (Est.1659)!
Ps it’s probably been 10 years since I’ve posted so hopefully this will go through
I have to agree, it doesn't appear to be real. The mark is definitely suspect, even just the fact that it isn't stamped perfectly straight. The quality also isn't what you'd expect. I've dealt extensively with jewelry, and my wife has been in charge of one of NJs largest auction houses' jewelry auctions for years. I've seen plenty of the real thing and far, far more fakes. A local jeweler should have no problem letting you know one way or the other. Good luck...I hope it's real.
In all my searching I have seen a couple of those bracelets marked just like what you found. I can pretty much tell you all of the jewelry I've seen at thrift stores and flea markets with the names of Tiffany and Cartier are 100% knockoffs in places like that. The higher end named times pieces are very numerous in fakes also. Stuff made by Cartier is unmistakably beautiful to behold. Me and my middle daughter went to a showing of the works of Cartier some time ago at the Denver museum, which I posted just a few pictures of back in 2014.
I just got home a bit ago from a most amazing display of treasure I ever saw. I and number 2 daughter headed to the Denver Art Museum to view the exhibition of Cartier. These photo I took with my crap cell phone cam and wished I took a better camera. They are just a very small sample of the most...
I found this Luis Vuitton bracelet on Daytona Beach. Thought I hit the big one and the rush was great. Got back to the room and started checking to see if it was real. Found out Luis Vuitton jewry has serial numbers. No numbers on it, but it is a pretty knockof.
I've done it before myslef and now I focus on the item itself before any name applied to it. The real treasures I've found in the second hand market speak for themselves and not by name. I just Google searched. "List of Most Faked Name Brands". I'd say just beware of anything sold 2nd hand for a smoking deal with those high end names on it.
