Great day at the beach,and a first for me.

Hi All.I got out to a local beach today,for 6 hours and had some luck.I started hunting at 10:30 a.m.,with the Sand Shark.I searched the wet sand and in up to knee high water and found only a few cents.At 1:00 p.m.,I switched detectors and began searching the dry sand with the Ace 250.After 40 minutes of hunting,I got a foil reading and scooped up a little engagement ring with a center stone,which is about .80 carat round cut diamond, and 3 tiny stones on each side of it.The markings in the ring were IRID PLAT.I have never found a platimun ring before,but it has been on my wish list for several years.A few hours later,I got a nickel reading and scooped up a little 10k gold lapel pin.I tested the diamonds and they are real.I tested the ring and the pin on my gold tester,when I got home.The platinum ring read as 22k gold,and the pin was 10k gold.The platinum engagement really made my day,as I have been hoping to find one for a while.Thanks for looking.HH
