Great day hunting Silver and relics

Went to a new permission site in Harford county Maryland. Lots of iron in the ground and some stacked rock piles I suppose for the foundation. Ill have to go back another day. Today I believe to have dug up a old iron ring around a wagon wheel, has 1 fastener still attached. A few plow points, square iron pry bar and a digging bar. 1929 buffalo nickel, 1942 merc dime and a few wheat pennys. I think the 1943 wheatie may be a steel cent, if so its my first. Plus about $3 in clad and a bucket full of misc junk. Cant wait to get back at it GL & HH

Nice tickets! The V and the Merc are sweet. I get stopped in my tracks when I find century old coins. Where have those coins been, what was bought with them, who held them. Its cheesy but I'm also a history nut. Thanks for sharing.

Every piece of history I bring back to light I think the same thing. I love finding old relics and esp coins. I have pictures of everything from this hunt but for some reason the picture files are to large.

Your area is like the honey hole of Maryland. Ive been wanting to get out that way but my biggest thing is insuring permission first. GL & HH

Im from harford county and have found some large cents in havre de grace, I plan on getting back to that place soon and i know of a old abandoned house in the woods past the bridge on 40.
Im hopeing the weather is good soon to get out there dirtfishing again.

Yes i do hunt alone but i wouldn't mind haveing someone else to detect with, Get's lonely out there in the woods by yourself LoL
I use a whites xlt but im in the process of trying to grab a fisher f75 also.
