Great Seal of the United States Pin?

Not sure what this is but I believe it's some sort of pin. Army, maybe?

Cool find! I think that "might be" an Army general staff pin from sometime around or a bit after WW1, possibly worn as adornment to head gear worn by Officers/NCO's. Don't quote me here,lol. This is just a guess coming from the fact that I have a button with the same logo as the pin.

I am sure it is Army, but don't see anything denoting any special part of the army. It is just the Army seal.

Looks to me like part of an enlisted hat insignia.

yeah it seems to be made out of pot metal or something. Definitely not brass. Thanks for all the help guys.

I would bet that is a sweetheart pin. I think it's to small for a hat.
