Hello Everyone,

This week (Monday - Friday) was very profitable at the Coinstar and Vending Machines at local stores and on the College Campus. The clad was everywhere and totaled $ 4.50 dollars. Other coins of interest were one 1926 silver Mercury dime, 1935 Buffalo nickel, Canadian 5 cent and two Mexican coins. I would rather be digging, but this will do until weather conditions favor metal detecting.

Thank you for looking.

It seems to be paying off haha nice merc and buffalo save

Nice score! I bet most of the kids now days think the Merc and the Buff are also "foreign" coins. :)

Hello thrillathahunt,

Last week a clerk told me "do you mind Canadian?..." and handed me a Barber Quarter...well worn, but still a Barber! :dontknow:

Dang looks like another home run!!! I wish the machines I cruise would produce as well!

That's really cool Professor, I'm glad we don't have any Coinstars in the area. I can't dig because of frozen ground,, so I'm glad I'm not staking out a Coinstar all day. Lol

Staking out a coinstar - now that is funny.

The coinstar at my local grocery never has anything in the reject tray when I check it. I think there is an inside job going on. lol

I got a dime and 5 penny's at one of mine today. All newer dates and dirty.

As soon as someone uses the coin star the old lady greeter at my local Wal mart
goes behind and checks and if someone buys something at the vending machine she
goes and looks for change. I am trying to find a way to get her transferred.
She is making $11.00 an hour to check the coin star and she never says Hi and
greets me?

That's easy enough to do. Just drop a bunch of Canadian coins in the machine and walk away.
Then go back and ask her who took your coins out of the return tray? Tell her that you're going to email the owners and ask them to review their video.

Nice finds. I was skeptical until I found something the first time I looked at one. I was thinking a college town would be ideal though. Now if I can just remember to look. Congrats.

Nice, keep up the good work. I have been striking out with the Coinstars lately.

Nice grabs from the coinstar !

I bet you were stoked, I know I am when I see coins in the reject tray. Congrats Doc :occasion14:

Yes I hear you professor, but good weather is just around the corner now.
