GS 5 Token ? General Store?

Found this token about 5" deep in an old farm field in Missouri. Was super excited when I dug it and got some dirt off, swore it said "CS".

Cleaning it by soaking in distilled water, unfortunately it's a "G" not a "C", so maybe not civil war age. Haven't been able to see any details on the other side yet.


Im thinking its from a General Store for credit. Any other theories?
It is slightly smaller than a quarter.

bologna, that is a nice "Good for 5.c token" I could be wrong ,but the reverse appears to have a large eagle facing right on it. But no help in identifying it.

personally, I don't see anything on the back. Having the hole in the top, I don't believe it's a token. I believe it's a tool tag or the likes.
