Someone told me this is an old Girl Scout pin.

Girl Scout pin is correct. If I remember they are from the 1930s and up. I have one just like it.

I dug the exact same one at about 10 inches with nox/11" coil..I always go slow when deep coins were known in the area ..and that thing had the sweetest deep whisper...lol
