GTAX 550 still worth using?

I have seen some great deals on used GTAX 550's. Are they still any good/worth getting? About 10 years ago I had the GTAX 450 and it was a coin slayer as long as I notched out pulltabs. Of course I lost most nickels and rings, but it was cherry picking silver like there was no tomorrow. I see them going on ebay for about $200 used. I don't remember what kind of depth I was getting though. For the money I am thinking maybe. Any thoughts?

I use a GTAX550 and it works great. Have had it for 4 years and it is a great coin finder. Am thinking of getting a couple of different coils for it before they sell out. If you can pick one up cheap then why not?

Yes.....it's a good detector, easy to use and makes a great coin shooter. It shares some of the same features as the GTP & GTI models. It has the GTA Ultra 500 for years, and found literally thousands of coins with it.
